Where are our field inspectors?

As part of a commitment to data integrity, the Assessor's Office has field inspectors review and update property characteristics. Inspectors review the property's exterior, but will not ask to enter the inside of a residential property. Inspectors may have the need to enter the interior of a commercial, industrial or mixed-use property.

They are currently working in the following Cook County townships: Hyde Park, Lake View, Lemont, New Trier, Niles, Northfield, Orland, Proviso, Worth

Field inspectors wear an ID badge attached to a lanyard and will often wear a hat with the Assessor's Office logo.
